The tech giant is going to put Apples iPhone to a test producing a innovative cell phone which is aware of its surroundings and smart enough to anticipate what the user is going to be needing it for. Motorola, a Google subsidiary is going to use a gadget called MotoX in order to drive down prices of smartphones and end high profit margins at the market.
Mr. Woodside, Motorolas CEO, participated in the D11 conference in South California. He confirmed Googles intentions to launch a hero phone capable of competing with Apples iPhone and Samsungs S4.
The MotoX would be the ultimate interaction phone presenting users with features which are contextually appropriate depending of what is going on around the user. According to the company, there will be sensors constantly working to define what the customer is doing, and suggesting solutions based on his future needs.
Mr. Woodside noted that the device would be out on sale later this year and would be prices well under the iPhone 5 as Google goal is not necessarily to profit from huge margins.
