Hewlett-Packard Co. is entering the 2015 International CES tech trade show in Las Vegas with the presentation of three new types of displays. The new companys products include curved displays, virtual reality displays, and 4K and 5K high-definition displays.
The Director of commercial displays in the company, Ann Lai, said in a statement, cited by VB News: “We span the entire spectrum of customers from home consumers to high-end color-critical professionals. Today we have three new technologies for the display market.”
Apart from revealing its curved displays, which have already been considered a great hit at this years show, Hewlett-Packard also unveiled its first 4K monitors, which come in two sizes, and a début 5K model. Another innovation in the companys products range is the virtual reality display, which works with 3D glasses.
Hewlett-Packard announced its curved models will be provided in two variations – a 27-inch and a 34-inch one. The 34-inch display is called Envy 34c and is to become available in April at the price of $999. It features 3 400 x 1 440 resolution with a wide 21:9 aspect ratio. The display also features dual HDMI sockets and a DisplayPort.
The companys 27-inch mode is called the Pavilion 27c. It features resolution of 1080p with a 16:9 aspect ratio and is equipped with VGA and HDMI ports. The model is currently available at the price of $399.
The U.S.-based company also presented its new 4K and 5K high-definition panels. The 4K model comes in two sizes – the 27-inch Z27s and the 23.8-inch Z24s. The 27-inch model is to be officially released in January and will be priced at $749. The smaller Z24s model is to become available in April and will be sold at the price of $549. The displays are equipped with DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI, Mini-DisplayPort, MHL ports and three USB 3.0 sockets.
The 5K panel called Z27q features a 5012 x 2 880, 300-nit IPS display. It is planned to be officially released in March and will be priced at $1 299.
Hewlett-Packard is also betting on the latest innovations, presenting its series of curved displays. The new products that are to be released by the tech giant include HP Z34c, HP ENVY 34c, HP EliteDisplay S270c and HP Pavilion 27c and promise to provide the customers with greater visual and audio experience.
The Vice President and General Manager of PC displays and accessories division of Hewlett-Packard, Jun Kim, also commented in a statement cited by VB News: “HP’s new displays complement our goal of delivering new technologies that maximize the visual experience and change the way people work and create. HP displays feature performance, innovation, reliability and outstanding image accuracy that we believe will transform how customers connect and interact using technology.”
Hewlett-Packard Co. was up 0.27% to close at $40.24 per share on Friday, marking a one-year gain of 45.48%. The company is valued at $73.80 billion. The companys shares traded at €33.695 in Frankfurt as of 13:43 GMT. According to CNN Money, the 25 analysts offering 12-month price forecasts for Hewlett-Packard have a median target of $40.00, with a high estimate of $47.00 and a low estimate of $37.00. The median estimate represents a -0.60% decrease from the last price of $40.24.
