According to a person familiar with discussions, at a meeting with Wall Street analysts on January 11th Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne said that the probability for the company to achieve its financial objectives for 2018 was “significantly greater than 50 percent”.
Fiat Chrysler shares closed higher for a ninth consecutive session on Wednesday. The stock went up 2.59% ($0.28) to $11.09, after climbing as high as $11.11, or a level not seen since March 16th 2015 ($11.20). In the week ended on January 8th the shares of the vehicle manufacturer added 14.25% to their market value compared to a week ago, which marked the fifth consecutive period of gains and also the best performance since the week ended on March 6th 2016. The stock has extended its advance to 21.60% so far during the current month, after surging 19.06% in December.
