According to a statement by Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT), the retailers recently established startup investment arm, known as Store No 8, has appointed Jenny Fleiss as the CEO of its first portfolio company. She co-founded and previously served as head of business development of the designer fashion rental firm Rent the Runway.

Wal-Mart shares closed lower on Monday, while also marking their first loss in the past six trading sessions. The stock edged down 0.21% ($0.16) to $74.78, after touching an intraday high at $75.40, or a price level not seen since May 27th 2015 ($75.51). In the week ended on April 23rd the shares of the retail chain added 2.45% to their market value compared to a week ago, which marked a fourth consecutive period of gains. The stock has pared its advance to 3.75% so far during the current month, following a 1.62% surge in March. The latter has been a second straight month of gains. For the entire past year, Wal-Mart shares gained 12.76%.

Jenny Fleiss is expected to head Wal-Marts code eight, a startup with a focus on developing personalized, one-to-one shopping experiences.

According to CNN Money, the 31 analysts, offering 12-month forecasts regarding Wal-Mart’s stock price, have a median target of $73.00, with a high estimate of $90.00 and a low estimate of $60.00. The median estimate is a 2.38% decrease compared to the closing price of $74.78 on April 24th.

The same media also reported that 19 out of 36 surveyed investment analysts had rated Wal-Mart Stores’ stock as “Hold”, while 13 – as “Buy”. On the other hand, 3 analysts had recommended selling the stock.
