MetaTrader 4 Chart Management via Context Menu Commands

Several commands of the context menu can be used for managing charts:
– Expert Advisors – a sub-menu, which manages expert advisors. An expert advisor is a MQL4 program that is executed with every new tick, allowing the automation of analytic and trading activities. Commands, managing the expert imposed into the chart, are also listed in this menu. By using this sub-menu, one is able to modify the expert properties, remove it, or begin testing it.
– Remove Script – removes an executable script. A script is a program, written in MetaQuotes Language 4 (MQL 4) and intended for a single execution of some actions.
– Indicators List – a window, managing technical indicators attached to the chart window. A technical indicator is a mathematical manipulation of the price and/or volumes of a given instrument, in order to project price changes in the future. Signals, provided by technical indicators, serve as a basis for decisions about how and when to position in the market.
– Objects List – a window, managing graphical objects. Graphical objects are those objects in the terminal, which one can impose manually. They are used for analytic purposes.
– Periodicity – a sub-menu, managing chart periods. Periods of charts can also be managed by using the “Charts” menu and toolbar commands of the corresponding names.
– Template – a sub-menu, managing templates. A template is a set of chart window parameters, that can be used for other charts. This sub-menu can also be reached by using the “Chart” menu command of the same name.
– Refresh – refreshes historical data. This option will enable downloading all missing data within the available history as well as new data. The same action can be performed by using the “Charts” menu command of the same name.
– Auto Arrange – sets the height of all indicators windows as default. The same action can be performed by using the key combination of Ctrl+A.
– Grid – shows/hides the grid. The same action can be performed by using the “Charts” menu command of the same name or by using the key combination of Ctrl+G.
– Volumes – shows/hides volumes chart. The same actions can be performed by using the “Charts” menu command of the same name or by using the key combination of Ctrl+L.
– Zoom In – zooms in the chart horizontally by one step. This action can also be performed by using the “Charts” menu command of the same
name, by pressing the “+” button of the keyboard, or by pressing the button from the “Charts” toolbar.
– Zoom Out – zooms out the chart by one step. This action can also be performed by using the “Charts” menu command of the same name, by pressing the “-” button of the keyboard, or by pressing the button from the “Charts” toolbar.
– Delete Indicator Window – deletes indicator window from the chart. Some indicators are presented in special sub-windows and have their own scaling. This command allows one to delete such sub-windows.
– Save As Picture – saves the chart as a picture in GIF or BMP format. The same action can be performed by the “File – Save As Picture…” menu command.
– Print Preview – previews the chart image before printing it. The same action can be performed by the “File – Print Preview” menu command or
by pressing the button from the “Standard” toolbar.
– Print… – prints the chart. If the “Color print” option is checked in the program settings, the chart can be printed in color. The same action can be performed by using the “File – Print…” menu command, by using the key combination of Ctrl+P, or by pressing the button from the “Standard” toolbar.
– Properties… – calls the charts setup window. The same action can be performed by pressing F8 of the keyboard.
The “Expert Advisors” sub-menu and the “Remove Script”, “Indicators List”, and “Objects List” commands are activated, only when the respective objects have been imposed on the chart.
