Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) reportedly introduced a newly retooled LinkedIn Audience Network, which would enable advertisers to target sponsored content to LinkedIns global user base of over 500 million.

Microsoft shares closed lower for a third consecutive trading session on Wednesday. The stock edged down 0.29%
($0.21) to $73.40, with the intraday high and the intraday low being at $74.01 and $73.35 respectively. In the week ended on September 3rd the shares of the tech giant added 1.54% to their market value compared to a week ago, which marked a second consecutive period of gains and also the best performance since the week ended on July 16th. The stock has extended its loss to 1.83% so far during the current month, following a 2.85% surge in August. The latter has been a second straight month of gains. For the entire past year, the shares of the NASDAQ-listed company gained 12.00%. The stock has risen 18.12% so far in 2017.

According to LinkedIn, 6 000 advertisers took part in a beta phase of its Audience Network.

The professional networking site also noted that advertisers achieved a 3% to 13% growth on average in unique impressions as well as an 80% growth in unique clicks.

According to CNN Money, the 32 analysts, offering 12-month forecasts regarding Microsoft’s stock price, have a median target of $82.00, with a high estimate of $90.00 and a low estimate of $49.00. The median estimate is an 11.72% surge compared to the closing price of $73.40 on September 6th.

The same media also reported that 23 out of 34 surveyed investment analysts had rated Microsoft’s stock as “Buy”, while 9 – as “Hold”. On the other hand, 1 analyst had recommended selling the stock.
